AUSTIN, Texas – The Ed-Fi Alliance, a nonprofit organization and community of educators, technologists, and advocates solving the data challenge in education today announced Ken Shelton as the keynote speaker of Summit 2022, its annual user conference. This year, the Ed-Fi Alliance is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
Shelton is an award-winning educator, consultant, education technology expert, and champion. He regularly gives presentations, provides counsel, and leads workshops covering a wide variety of edtech, DEI, anti-bias and anti-racist, multimedia literacy, cultural intelligence, visual storytelling, and instructional design topics.
“The Ed-Fi Summit is an opportunity to engage with education leaders, administrators, and advocates and rethink the way we deliver education. With technology at the forefront, we can ensure the best outcomes and successes for students everywhere,” said Shelton.
“Ken Shelton is an established leader, sitting at the intersection of technology and education. He delivers an informed opinion and thoughtful approaches on how educators should be thinking about the future of technology to support student success,” said Caroline Kazmierski, director of marketing and communications, Ed-Fi Alliance. “I know the Ed-Fi Community will benefit from what he has to share with us and we are looking forward to welcoming him to this special annual event.”
Attendees of this year’s Summit will receive two and a half days of inspirational keynotes, informative breakout sessions, hands-on labs, and plenty of opportunities for conversation. This year’s anniversary celebration will include a special evening event commemorating and recognizing the accomplishments of the Ed-Fi Community, featuring student performers, dinner, refreshments, and the presentation of the Ed-Fi Community Awards.
Summit is a collaborative conference taking place November 6-9 in person at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas, or online with virtual access. The conference helps connect state and local education leaders, ed-tech providers, educators, and technical experts who are using data to solve education’s most entrenched problems.

About the Ed-Fi Alliance
The Ed-Fi Alliance is a nationwide community of leading educators, technologists, and data advocates connecting student data systems to transform education. A not-for-profit organization founded in 2012 by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Ed-Fi aims to boost student achievement by empowering educators with real-time, comprehensive insight into every student.
Ed-Fi technologies streamline data management in school districts and states across the country. By allowing schools to integrate data previously siloed within disconnected tools and software — and organizing it through a single, secure data standard — Ed-Fi solves one of the country’s most perplexing educational challenges: how to get a complete, accurate view of individual student achievement so that every student can receive the support they need when they need it most.
