The 2017 NCES STATS-DC Data Conference is right around corner! Taking place at the historic Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC from August 1-3, attendees will learn about the latest federal and national activities affecting data collection and reporting, as well as the most effective new methods of collecting, reporting, and using education data.
Over these three days, the conference will feature a handful of informative sessions on topics ranging from analytical and instructional data use, to data management and data standards. The Ed-Fi Alliance is especially excited for this year’s conference, where we will be leading a few of the sessions.
If you’re planning to attend, be sure to join Ed-Fi’s own Sean Casey, manager of strategic partnerships, and Eric Jansson, senior program manager, at the following sessions:
- From Vision to Reality: Moving Our WISE Forward Using Ed-Fi for Interoperability, Wednesday August 2, 10:15-11:15 a.m.
- Ed-Fi, CES, IMS, and Diverse Stakeholder Communities Working Together, Wednesday August 2, 11:30-12:30 p.m. or 1:45-2:45 p.m. (two time slots)
- Automating the CRDC and EDFacts Submission Using Ed-Fi and Generate: Save Districts Time, Money, and Effort, Wednesday August 2, 3:00-4:00 p.m.
We love participating in industry events – not only because of the valuable insights and knowledge gathered, but also the chance to connect with the Ed-Fi Community. In an effort to continue to drive connection among our community members, we’ll be a hosting a Community 365 networking event with six of our partners on Tuesday, August 1 following the conference from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hay-Adams Hotel’s rooftop terrace. We hope you’ll join us for an evening full of relaxation and thought-provoking conversation around data standards and so much more.
We’ll be tweeting throughout the event, so be sure to follow along (@edfialliance). See you in August!
