In 2022 the Ed-Fi Community will celebrate our first 10 years of impact. In that time we have grown from a small group of early adopters to a nationwide community representing schools, districts, state agencies, nonprofit partners, and edtech companies in nearly every state. We are fortunate to work with so many exceptional leaders across the community and each year we are thrilled to recognize them with our annual awards.
The Ed-Fi Community Awards Program is designed to recognize exceptional individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to our community and are helping make data work for students.
Last year, we were back to a hybrid (in-person and virtual) Summit in 2021 where we honored the following Ed-Fi Community members; Jean-Francois Guertin, Edwire, Inc.; Marcos Gallo, Crocus, LLC; Molly Stewart & Rosh Dhanawade, INsite – Indiana University; James O’Meara, Texas A&M International University, College of Education; Indash Dashboard solution for INSITE at Clear Launch by Bak Zoumanigi, Arturo Hernandez, and Ryan English; and Dan Ralyea, South Carolina Department of Education
In 2020 we honored winners through a virtual award ceremony in early December.
2019 we recognized leading advocates, partners and technical contributors to the mission of the Ed-Fi Alliance, interoperability and the use of effective data in states, K12 schools and technology providers.
In 2018 we honored the teams from INSITE, AWS, NEFEC and Scott Kuykendall of Delaware Dept. of Ed for their work to build and support the Ed-Fi Community.
And if you can remember way back to 2017 when we hosted the inaugural Community Award ceremony, we honored Don Dailey, Michigan Data Hub and Technical Team of the Year: Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Join us this year, by submitting a nomination.
Nominations will close on Thursday, September 15, 2022. The Ed-Fi team and the Governance Advisory Team will vote on the nominees. Award recipients will be announced at the Summit and celebrated that evening at the 10-year Community Celebration evening event on Tuesday, November 8th. Please be prepared to provide full name, organization, contact information and a short sentence on what the nominee has done to receive this recognition, in the nomination form.
